This recipe pairs the delicate, rich flavor of salmon with a luxurious black truffle sauce, creating a dish that’s both elegant and easy to prepare. The crispy skin of the salmon adds texture, while the velvety sauce brings a depth of flavor that’s perfect for a special dinner.
Ingredients:
For the Salmon:
- 2-3 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each), skin-on
- Truffle salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon truffle olive oil (for frying)
- 1 tablespoon truffle butter (for finishing)
- 1 table spoon black truffle sauce
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Salmon:
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. This helps to get a crispy skin when frying.
Season both sides of the salmon fillets generously with truffle salt and pepper.
2. Cook the Salmon:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of truffle olive oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Press gently on the fillets to ensure the skin gets crispy and makes good contact with the pan.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes on the skin side, depending on the thickness of the fillet. You should see the salmon cooking through from the bottom up.
- Flip the salmon carefully and add 1 tablespoon of black truffle sauce and 1 tablespoon of truffle butter to the pan. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the salmon reaches your desired doneness (medium-rare to medium is ideal).
- Remove the salmon from the pan and set aside to rest while you prepare the sauce.
3. Assemble the Dish:
- Place the fried salmon fillets on serving plates.
- Spoon the black truffle sauce generously over the top of the salmon. (Optional for personal taste)
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired, for a pop of color and freshness.
4. Serve:
Serve the salmon immediately with your choice of sides, such as fried onions, roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a simple green salad.
Tips:
Salmon Doneness: For perfectly cooked salmon, aim for an internal temperature of 125°F (52°C) for medium-rare, or 145°F (63°C) for well-done.
This Black Truffle Sauce with Fried Salmon brings together the earthy richness of truffles and the delicate flavor of salmon, making for a stunning yet simple dish that’s sure to impress!
